Creative Producer

I didn’t want to wait around for work to find me so I’ve been producing my own plays since 2015. It’s a natural fit, I love a good spreadsheet, can wrangle a tight schedule and make a snazzy poster. When I’d cut my teeth on a few Fringe shows and side projects I decided to found a proper theatre company under which I could produce work, and so Virginia Plain was born. So far VP has staged two fresh takes on some classics, and the Australian premiere of Sabrina Mahfouz’s Chef.

When 2020 shut everything down I went back to school and studied marketing with idea that I could use that to help sell my work. Since then I have taken on a freelance marketing role with Midnight Feast, and I’m always looking for new projects and clients. I also want to share what I’ve learned so I am putting together a series of blogs about marketing for other indie producers.

Want me to produce or market your next show?
